The 3D guide

An assembly guide made for the phone

Customers open the guide from the QR code on the box, on their phone, with parts on the floor around them. On a phone, every step opens with its instructions, then the card slides down and the 3D view shows the step.

The problem

A phone screen is too small for instructions and a 3D view side by side, and customers with a screwdriver in one hand will not hunt for buttons.

How it works

  1. 1

    Read first

The step’s card comes up with the instructions. It stays up as long as it takes to read them, longer for longer steps.

  2. 2

    Then watch

The card slides down by itself and the 3D animation plays.

  3. 3

    Always in reach

Previous and Next stay on screen even when the card is down.

  4. 4

    Pull up any time

Pull the card up to read again, see the parts and tools, or ask the assistant. Pull it down to watch.

What you get

  • No app to install: the QR code opens it in the browser
  • Multi-language, chosen by the phone’s language
  • The assistant is in the same card
  • “In this step” lists the step’s hardware: tap to watch one go in
