3D editor: move, turn and place every part and screw
The 3D editor opens any step of the guide full screen. Move and turn parts, place and correct every screw, zoom to the area you are working on, and double-click anything to tell the AI what is wrong with it.

The problem
An AI that builds a guide from a manual gets most things right and a few things wrong. Fixing those few should take seconds, by pointing at the part, not by rebuilding the guide.
How it works
- 1
Zoom to an area
Draw a box around the corner you are working on and the view zooms in there.
- 2
Pick and drag a screw
Click a screw (or near it) and drag it over the surfaces. It stays square to the surface under the pointer.
- 3
Turn it
Flip the way it goes in, square it to the surface, or set the direction: for this one piece or for all pieces of that hardware.
- 4
Double-click: what is wrong with it?
Double-click a part or a screw for quick fixes (wrong place, turned wrong, comes in from the wrong side, not in this step) or write what should change, and the AI fixes it.
What you get
- Fix the AI’s placement in seconds
- Set the order the hardware goes in
- “+ Place” adds hardware the AI missed
- Move and turn parts per step, with Undo
Questions
Do I need 3D experience?
No. You click, drag and choose from plain options like “Flip the way in”.
Does a moved part stay moved?
A part moved in a step stays moved in the next steps while it stays in the same place (the floor, the table, the wall).
Can the AI place all the hardware again?
Yes. “AI: place the hardware” places it for every step and keeps the placements you made yourself.
